FAQs

What does EduStaff™ do?

We specialize in the placement of education professionals in client school districts who are otherwise unable to fill their open positions without the help of our staffing and recruitment services. We specialize only in education, and our clients are only public school districts. EduStaff employees work in public school districts, but are employed by EduStaff Resources™.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of choosing to work for EduStaff over choosing to work directly for a school district?

Advantages of working for EduStaff typically include higher wages than district employees, professional support services, and the flexibility of working for an employer that can assist in finding work in multiple geographical locations.   In addition, EduStaff offers other, more traditional perks like signing bonuses, 401(k) retirement programs, generous benefit packages, bi-weekly pay with automatic deposit, a homebuyer’s assistance program, and more.

Advantages of working directly for a school district include the possibility for more stability in the assignment, excellent benefits packages, and the ability to apply for other internal positions in the same district. For individuals who are willing to work for a lower wage to gain the chance for more permanency in their assignment, school districts can be a good choice.

How do I get started in becoming an EduStaff employee?

Generally, there are two ways, either by applying directly to one of our featured job openings, or by otherwise submitting your resume to EduStaff. There are numerous opportunities for employment not listed as featured job postings on the website, and EduStaff continually seeks qualified professional educators to present to school districts as competent solutions to their staffing needs.

Following your successful completion of our screening process, EduStaff will work with you to find your next rewarding job in public schools, based on your stated geographical preferences. It all begins when you submit your resume for immediate consideration.

Once I pass through the screening process, am I considered an employee of EduStaff?

No. At this stage, you will be eligible for EduStaff to present you as a candidate for open positions at school districts. You are not an employee of EduStaff until you enter into your contract assignment with a client school district.

Are there any fees, or am I under any obligation after applying to EduStaff or submitting my resume?

No. There are no obligations for applying or submitting your resume. There are never any fees charged to you for EduStaff to help find your next job.

Am I guaranteed to get a job with a school district when I'm working with EduStaff to find employment?

No. EduStaff has the knowledge, network, and ability to find you a rewarding position in public schools. However, part of the success in finding a position for you will be determined by your willingness to be open to different opportunities, your flexibility in developing search criteria, and the positions available in your selected area(s).

Am I required to carry personal liability insurance?

EduStaff carries professional liability insurance for your contract assignment. However, employees may also carry their own professional liability insurance, should they ever be individually named in a claim.

How am I paid, and when?

EduStaff employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis, on direct deposit to your checking or savings account. All taxes and deductions are taken care of by our Human Resources Department.

What kind of support is available for EduStaff employees?

Typically, EduStaff employees have access to many of the same supports available for school district employees. However, if there are training or support needs that can’t be addressed locally, EduStaff will endeavor to obtain those services for you. EduStaff will work with you proactively, and in response to any potential difficulties that could arise during your contract assignment.
